Almost 30 years ago, I made my first open water dive under Swanage Pier, with the London based Sea Urchins Sub Aqua Club. In 1996 and some 2000 dives later, I decided I just wasn't spending enough time in the water and became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Even more dives later I am now an IANTD technical and trimix instructor and will be teaching rebreather courses later this year. I have been running the dive school at Divers Down Swanage since 2000 on behalf of various owners, but I will now be concentrating solely on diving and training, allowing Pete and Pat to concentrate on the shop and their dive boat charters. On my days off, when I am not to be found teaching at the pier I am usually out diving for fun, probably with my rebreather and probably on a wreck somewhere in the English Channel. You just can't get enough of some things! At Mike Potts Diving we hope to inspire you, just as I have been over the years and help you to discover the amazing world and challenges that await you underwater.
