Almost 30 years
ago, I made my first open water dive under Swanage
Pier, with the London based Sea Urchins Sub Aqua Club. In 1996
and some 2000 dives later, I decided I just wasn't spending enough
time in the water and became a PADI Open Water
Scuba Instructor. Even more dives later I am now an IANTD technical
and trimix instructor and will
be teaching rebreather courses
later this year.
I have been running the dive
school at Divers Down Swanage since 2000 on behalf of various owners,
but I will now be concentrating solely on diving and training, allowing
Pete and Pat to concentrate on the shop and their dive
boat charters.
On my days off, when I am not
to be found teaching at the pier I am usually out diving for fun,
probably with my rebreather and probably on a wreck somewhere in
the English Channel. You just can't get enough of some things!
At Mike Potts Diving we hope
to inspire you, just as I have been over the years and help you
to discover the amazing world and challenges that await you underwater.
Swanage Pier provides the perfect
place to start, well it did for me, and we hope it will for you
too.
Hope to see you in the water
very soon.
